Yesterday my 'puter had a labour day so today you get two poems for the price of one. Balladeer went to Japan on a pleasure cruise, to see the sights, his greater plan and maybe score some schmooze One day he was so hungry and tired of Japanese fare advertised to his vision, he did see a Japanese pizzaierre Balladeer ordered up a feast then he took a giant bite his eyes they clouded, began to mist he opened them in fright Tears were rolling down his face his breath came is short gasps his face turned a shade of dark puce hands to his throat he clasped Then Balladeer began to sneeze he sneezed again, Ah-choo it left him weakened at the knees his face was turning blue He could not stop this sneezing could not swallow air, so fast like an asthmatic he was wheezing he thought he breathed his last Till finally, composure gained he slumped within a chair he looked aghast, his face was strained for the sneezing, suffered there The moral to this story teaching for the Balladeer when in a foreign country with eating, take real care Next time you order pizza, please you make sure the cook is Tony and if the pizza's Japanese don't order pepper-oni. (pepper only) "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

Thanks Kathleen, In case you think I'm being too hard on the lovely and talented Balladeer, you should know he inspired this when he criticised my eating habits.I'm also expecting that at some time he'll have something scathing to say about me. I loved your response about my quote, I was thinking about changing it recently but couldn't come up with anything I liked better. Be well Kethry < !signature--> "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- [This message has been edited by Kethry (edited 09-14-2000).] |
