Some things are better left unsaid. Some things better left untouched. It's better to walk away sometimes, then the pain wouldn't hurt so much. Sometimes love is not meant to be, when it puts your future on hold. The warmth that clothed you yesterday, today will leave you feeling cold. 'It is better to love then to have lost'? is a saying as old as time. It was a rude awaking for me to learn a moments pleasure is all I would find. It would've been better if I'd never been touched, and all of my words left unsaid. Then I wouldn't have the memories I do, and the future I dreamed of left dead. If I could do it all over again, there's no doubt in my mind that I would. Sometimes I wonder how he might have felt, and I'd like to go back if I could. I know sometimes we have to let go, absorb our hurts, and carry the pain. Sometimes we are totally consumed by the past, our hearts marked forever by loves stain. If you can't make it so, you need to let it go! |
