When the stars sparkled
Even in the blackest night
Where I floated on clouds
Feeling as light as air
Can't I go back to yesterday

Can I pretend it's yesterday
When everything was
So perfect, so right
Yesterday please make it so
Where I had my hearts desire
Even as others lost theirs
Where I was craddled in love
Feeling content and happy
Can't I pretend it's yesterday

Can I relive yesterday
When the day was
So perfect, so right
Yesterday when it wasn't today
Where you loved me
Even as I love you
In a world of hope
Can't it please be yesterday

Hi! you must have penned this lovely, (sad) poem "yesterday", for today, it is perfect.
Emotions and feelings exposed very well.

I liked the way this one felt. It was a longing and sorrowful piece. Been there myself, as have a great many others. It never does seem quite fair, does it?
Very well written and a fine look into a hollow feeling.
