IMPACT Impulses and currents racing Through circuits at so many Feet per second. Terminals, Junctions and relays to jump. Faster through the stretch Slowing for the curves. Then The sudden plunge downward Arriving at break neck speed It hits the mark and the body Curls and the knees become weak. The heart races and The body begins to perspire. I try to recover but it’s too Late. There's no switch that will stop what is about to occur. The subconscious takes over As your breathing increases Your heart rate racing now You reel from the experience The current slows the body has Taken the jolt of electrical Impulses the heart is now in Control. Your brain has no Choice but to relinquish its grip. Once the body begins to normalize The heart sends the signal. Collision, impact, relax... You're in love. |

Whew!!! Thank God, I thought it was another anxiety attack...and y'know, the only way to tell the difference is that love FEELS GOOD. Lol...and thank you much for the ride on the run-away train... |

Thank you for the kind words. This free style is a new endeavor for me. I have not posted for quite some time until now. I believe my last poems according to the search were in December. Thank you. Hello My Friend! Hmmmmm.....so who is the lady? The writing is glorious, and very much speaks of who you are. Congratulations for taking the leap! Joyfully, JULIE PS-Kathie chose the icon......can you tell? I am a Life Purpose Coach who specializes in assisting men and women to clarify their Life Purpose and then in turn live true to their purpose. After 5 years working with the Severely Mentally Ill in County Mental Health, I gave up the bureaucracy (and safe, secure blanket) of this environment to pursue my own purpose and passion. |
