Evil Walks The Rooms

On any given day,
In the house in which you live,
Evil may walk the rooms,
Searching for a soul to steal.
Its presense you can sense.
Its shadow it does cast.
An angry, bitter spirit,
Lingering from days gone past.
You may not see its figure.
But you will know it's there.
For as you're busy living,
You'll feel its deathly glare.
Hideous is its grin,
With eyes as black as coal.
Lurking for the chance,
To steal your very soul.
The noises that go bump.
The footsteps in the night.
Yes you need to be afraid.
Horror dwells just out of sight.
So when you turn your lights out.
And prepare for peaceful sleep.
Say a needed prayer,
That God your soul will keep.
