Other's Expectations I try to do what I think is right I try to be a good friend Listening when they need an ear Offering- edited- advice I try to do what other's think is right Working hard, getting good grades Not sleeping around, Hanging with bad crowds But what I want to do Is something totally different So my question to myself is Why are other's expectations So hard to live with? Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Cuddlez, The question you ask yourself is a most difficult one...I know exactly what you're saying because even now I somehow have to balance what I want with what others expect of me...I guess that's really it, a balancing act...my heart has always told me what was right. This was great...honesty at it's finest!! I've lived every day of my life under someone elses expectations.....and in that walk I lost myself somewhere along the way...learn by my mistake...smell the roses you want to smell now and then~ |
