Life's Tales

Listen to your life's tales.
Time tells,
Never fails.
How your life ebbs and swells.
What was good, what was bad.
What was lost, what was had.
Come, listen, don't be sad.
Listen to your life's tales.
Time tells,
Never fails.
How about the good spells?
Happy child, playful time.
Memories fond, life's prime.
Come, listen to my rhyme.
Listen to your life's tales.
Time tells,
Never fails.
How about the bad spells?
Things you loathe, things you hate.
Useless friends, spiteful mate.
Come, listen, it's not late.
Listen to your life's tales.
Time tells,
Never fails.
Wonder what, in future dwells?
Want to see, want to know?
Could be yes, could be no?
Are you ready for this show?
Listen to your life's tales.
Time tells,
Never fails.
Live your life, before it pales!

SteveB~
Interesting thoughts.
Nicely arranged.
We write the tales daily
that will live long after we're gone.

Hi Steve, a delight to read this poem tonight...

One should take time to reflect on their life where they've journeyed and vision of new beginnings...

Hi Steve, this reads as a song, to me, with an excellent message. One of reflection and encouragement. Very nicely written!

Claire ~ This was an experiment for me,as I
set the beat and meter to this first
then added the words,I was attempting
to capture a little of Poe's rythm
from  "The Bells" thank you   SB
