The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2000-09-02 11:15 PM

Tedious longing without cease.
Awake each night, she begs for peace.
Elusive love will come to be,
no other option can she see.

Destined path too late to alter.
On her road she will not falter.
Obstacles fill the space between,
she fears it could be all a dream.

Yet dreams will sometimes become real.
That reverie is all she feels.
The wishing star still shines at night
her burst of hope, her ray of light.
Perhaps her wish will make it so
and put an end to tales of woe...

Oh, this was lovely CatalinaMoon! If we wish hard enough for dreams to become reality ... they often will! Beautifully and fluidly expressed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Catalina, I am short on words after reading your poem, yet I just wish to let you know that your poem grasped this reader...

Cat,
Perhaps her wish will make it so is a wonderful, wonderful line as is all the poem. Thanks for sharing those thoughts. I was touched.
Be well

As usual, a great creation, I just love the style, the flow, the rhymes... Hope is what keeps us going indeed.

Cat, keep dreaming and if it is meant to happen then it will, of course you may have to give the dream a little push. Wonderfully written poem and I hope it does come true.

Cat,
I loved this. Never give up on your dreams, I say. The only way we really ever finally lose is when we stop trying, stop dreaming...
