Oh love, you came so gently. Your footsteps danced across my heart. Gliding, treading effortlessly. So softly. I barely felt your presence. Gentle eyes and soft smile for the offering. You asked nothing in return. If only you could've stayed awhile. But, alas you turn to leave. in the middle of loves dance. I panic And fear I will never find the right words to the song, to the ending of the dance. To touch your heart, the way you touched mine. For good, bad or indifferent, my life will never be the same. For having let you dance your way across my heart. |

Hey who would up and leave a dance as sweet as this? Not this cowboy. This is a wonderful write and your muse has treated you well with this one. |

Gemini, What a bittersweet poem about love lost. It's true though.. every love in life has a special place in your heart and changes you. I enjoyed this poem very much ![]() rp25 |

I acutley felt every word of this. Life is never the same after loved has touched us....nor the heart. Beautiful words which flow gently into the next. Thank You....You have taken some of my aloneness away knowing that it is shared with another. Understanding reader.... Jenn E |

Gemini, This is so true and so very well done that I had to read it over. What beautiful phrasing you use!! This has become part of my list! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

Gemini~ Ah, it isn't the ending ... it's the dance itself that matters most. Nicely done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Wait a sec, I'll read it again... Yes, amazing! I just loved how it was pouring out, floating so fast , like a dance... Great writing, I loved the lines: "For good, bad or indifferent, my life will never be the same. For having let you dance your way across my heart." Beautiful! |

A bittersweet poem, wonderfully written! Sometimes even the most beautiful of dances must end. Time can never take away the memories of such a love, although sadly, it also doesn't take away the pain. I relate all too well to your words. I wish you the best in future love. ![]() Take care, Melissa Honeybee The beauty of poetry gives me wings to fly |
