First glances will make or break my heart. The first glance is a window into the percievers eye. Big enough to expose the soul, and small enough to carry the silent communication. It is powerful, luring, and overwhelming. The depth of the eye is like the center of the deepest abyss. I am able to see the ball of fire or ice swell and become alive. It is a thousand miles beyond the pupil... that which reveals the heart, and puts it on a platter. To see the outline that molded the heart, is deep and precious. I can see it all. My heart is instatnly strengthened or destroyed by the powerful communication of first glances. They make or break my heart. The first glimpse is a window into the percievers eye... and I can see it all. I run, I fall. I walk, I sometimes crawl. I give, I take. I bend and yet somehow I break ~Lil OnE~ |

OHHhhh... Lil! It's amazing, so true... I loved it how you began and ended the poem with same lines, and the ending... I just loved it! Take care! |

lil One - Yep - it's the eyes that do it for me, too. Eyes are the first thing I notice about a woman *shut up Balladeer and Rebel*. I like the way you approached this theme. You brought me into the poem in small pieces, and then gobbled me up with large thoughts. Great job. |

Positively breathtaking!! The first glance can be so much...a stare, a leer, a disinterested dismissal...You say it all so well. Don't care what people say Just follow your own way Don't give up and use the chance To return to innocence. -Enigma |

Everybody who has replied, lol... like how I addressed that? Anyway... I want to thank you all VERY much. Reading your replies made me feel so good... good enough to make me smile for something other than a corny joke. I feel I have accomplished what I wanted to with this. Thanks again!! I run, I fall.
