End of summer's reign,
Trees robed in short-lived splendor,
Waiting winter's chill.

Splendor suspended
above dry and drowsy earth,
autumn's canopy.

Autumn, to me, has always been my most "inspired" time of year. Your lovely Haiku whets my appetite.

Hi Mike...
I was just telling myself that it felt chillier this morning, and the trees look as if they are putting on their golden coats!  Great Haiku....

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

Leaves that swirl around
Tumbling down from shiv'ring trees
Autumn has now come.

Just a Autumnal bump for this one.

God bless America, my home sweet home.
