“BUTTERFLY, BUTTERFLY”

Butterfly, Butterfly,
floating on the breeze.
Making tiny wings flutter,
as they are teased.

Butterfly, Butterfly,
fluttering here and there.
Struggling and beating,
little wings that care.

Butterfly, Butterfly,
singing his song.
He will fly away,
if you do him wrong!

Butterfly, Butterfly,
looking for romance.
Trying to find a sweetheart,
to invite to his dance.

Butterfly, Butterfly,
found himself a mate.
And found a happy home,
right next to, a big iron gate.

But then Butterfly, Butterfly said,
“Please, breeze!”
won’t you go away?
Sweetheart Butterfly says,
“I can’t fly, anywhere today”.
