We will Meet in the Meadow.......a Duet with Bill Charles |

This is a combination of a poem written by myself, "Meet Me in the Meadow" with a beautiful poetic response by Bill Charles, "I Met You in the Meadow" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We hope you enjoy our duet, as.... together, they are complete... (Meet Me....) Meet me in the meadow.. Just before the dawn.. Chases evening shadows.. and lights the path you're on.... (I Met You....) I came there just at dawn.. Down to your lovely meadow.. When the morning mist was lifting.. And the deep blue sky was all aglow.... (Meet Me....) I'll be waiting for you.. By the trickling stream.. Over by the arch..Two.. Weeping Willows lean.... (I Met You....) I could see you waiting there Sitting you were, just like a pose.. But all I could see was ruby red lips.. That reminded me, of one sweet rose.... (Meet Me....) There among the flowers.. I'll lay our blanket down.. We can stay for hours.. No one is around.... (I Met You....) I called and you turned.. Your smile was as big as the sea.. And we lie together on that blanket.. Embracing, just you and me.. (Meet Me....) Soft and gentle breezes.. O'er our bodies play.. It touches and it teases.. Sweeps our cares away.... (I Met You....) I felt that gentle breeze blowing.. Watching it flow, through your pretty hair.. It touched me and I felt it And our bodies became aware.... (Meet Me....) We could love forever.. If we lived in rhyme.. Parting would be never.. Captives for all time.... (I Met You....) Ah yes, I could love you forever.. For you are a lovely, green eyed gypsy.. However, not in rhyme it would be.. But would rather always, be passionately.... (Meet Me....) So, meet me in the meadow.. Just before the light.. Maybe gypsy magic.. Will cast it's spell ~~Tonight~~ (I Met You....) So, I did meet you in your meadow.. And it didn't matter, if it was day or night.. Because I tasted your gypsy magic.. Having your softness, and your ~~Delight~~ Once again, my heartfelt thanks to Bill Charles.. for his touch of magic! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |
