I walk out the door
Can't take anymore
Patience has wore
Yet life goes on

I take back my heart
Remove the poisonous dart
That seeped into each part
Yet life goes on

I wipe away the tears
Shed for many years
Sobs that no one hears
Yet life goes on

I discover more lies
The last shred dies
Our love softly cries
Yet life goes on

I look you in the face
Silently I rest my case
My heart is out of place
Yet life goes on

I walk this road alone
Chilled to the bone
Heart as heavy as stone
Yet life goes on

i know it hurts...and this one aches ...
right off the page ...
each poem, each day , each step...
brings you closer to a healing heart...
sunshine and smiles just ahead  my friend..
and you deserve to find them
take care gator girl

The pain in this one just grabs me my friend. Yes life does go on, and your friends will be there to walk with you. Take care!< !signature-->

Indeed life does...go on. And dark as the sky may be, dull as the sun may seem, and bad as the pain may be...all things change, become memories; the sky clears, the sun brightens, the pain subsides...time, changes all, and love again presents it's smile.

Hang in there...

It's funny, all of us who hurt know that Life goes on..but it sure does'nt feel like it at the time. The pain and the hurt we have to feel to get to a better palce is sometimes so unfair. Would'nt it be nice to just skip that beggining and get to the "Life HAS gone on part?   One thing foe certain, we are never completley alone.
Take Care of your heart and one day it will take care of you. (So my gramdma says.

How true to life your words ring out.
Taking back your heart and removing the poisonous dart is the hard part and you seem to have portrayed this very well.
Great piece!!!!!!!!!

JM . . . Last thing I want to do is break your precious heart my friend.  Please forgive me?  I take tiny steps these days, but they do move forward slowly.  Thank you very much.  I hope you are right.

EagleOne . . . Thank you, I know.  I have wonderful friends who care very much.

Sudhir . . . Thanks my friend.  There will be an end to the pain soon . . . I know it.

Serenity . . . We are all moody at times!!  LOL.  Thank you, right back at ya!!

Paula . . . That is all I know these days.

Jwesley . . . I hope you are right.  Thank you for the kind words.  Perhaps we should talk sometime?

BDC . . . Thank you my friend.  Not easy, but somehow getting by.  Sigh.

Jenn E . . . I wish I could skip it, but it is a part of who I am and there are lessons to be learned here.  You're grandma sounds very wise there.

oh2beme . . . Thank you.  I know these feelings well.  Wish I didn't at times.
