submarine (in memory of the crew of the Kursk) Upon the ocean floor in peace you rest. Thru it all you tried your best to save the men who now do rest within your hull that took the blast. A subs strength requires the hull to remain watertight. one hundred and eighteen men doomed when your hull lost that fight. If only someone could prevent or forsee this cruel tragedy beneath the sea. Upon the ocean floor you and men now rest. Brave sailors and you gave their best. Nothing could prepare the families for the intense pain washed ashore this day. If only gentle waves could wash loved ones sorrows away. Jameslee@August21,2000 In loving memory to the crew and families of the submarine "Kursk" that sunk in the Barents Sea on August 12, 2000. (Nodding) I agree with Sudhir, James. This is a touching tribute to a tragic event and such intense loss. "If only gentle waves could wash loved ones sorrows away." Amen. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

James...having been a Navy spouse for ten years, knowing families like those of the Kursk, this was an event I watched and suffered through. Your words have brought a sense of peace to this heart and for that I thank you |
