I felt you walk into the room. As I turned and saw you standing there That first flamed flush began. It started in youth, Carrying my heart into a new way of life, Watching the boy become man. When you chose me And I told God I would stand by you, Did you tell Him what YOU wanted? Was it the truth you vowed? Or did you lie to Him the way you lie to me, And take my love for granted!! |

So true love does hurt...and when one of the partners is lying to the other it never works. Even though one may suffer the consequences the truth always works out for the better. Somewhere back in the depths of the mind the one that lies is always uncomfortable with that lie and it seems that this is the beginning of a process of deterioration of that person and their relationship. The way I see it anyway...this must be a great poem look how you've made me ramble on so...have a nice day.. |

Debbie, I have to agree with ethome. Lies squirm in the light because they can only thrive in darkness. Love often hurts, but of that kind of pain I'd gladly endure. Honesty is always best in any circumstance. Great post, Deb! Michael |

Yes, it does hurt sometimes......that's how you know that it is true love. If it wasn't planted so deep in your heart, it wouldn't hurt so bad! I hope that if it is you feeling this pain, that you won't become bitter......just know that love gives you many chances in life. You only need look. Great writing on this one! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |
