When storm clouds cover the sunshine
And you are pelted by the rain,
My arms will be your shelter,
As they embrace away your pain.
When troubles come, as they will,
I'll be there to dry the tears,
I will help to lighten the burdens,
And to ease your deepest fears.
I'll be there to sing your praises,
And to share your every sorrow,
I'll be there to help you through the night,
As we wait for the next tomorrow.
Together we'll climb those mountains,
As we reach for the bluest skies,
And in those dark and lonely hours,
We will try to answer the whys.
With pleasure I'll share your many joys,
With pride I will call you my friend,
Forever I'll be right by your side,
Until, this journey's end.

Hi BSC....
This was truly one of the most beautiful tributes to friendship that I have read here! It flowed like a silken stream, and felt so warm to read.  Wonderful writing on this, my friend!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

This is a true poem of friendship at its deepest level, when I can "embrace away your pain". This one is right from the heart
And well written, too

Straight from your heart, Bonnie. One of the kindest, sweetest hearts I have found here.
Very well done and a loving (strong) tribute to a friend.  Love, Marcy

WOW. Eloquence personified. If we could only each have one friend like that, the world would be a better place.
