Quinella's Dream, Quinella's Fantasy [Part IV]

[Story so far - Quinella dreams of a Knight; she shares the vision with her mother; her wish is to dream of him again, and she visits the Wizard so that he might cast a spell so that Quinella dreams of her Knight once again.]

O sweetly soured draught
of bitterness,
thy bite stings,

but be at thy liberty
to bring to
me

a dream's worthy Knight

Quinella falls into a
deep slumber, and dreams…

O benevolent Lord,
'tis darkness all
'round my shoulders

and lost, bewildered am I
in tunnels cold

and I abide, isolated ~

cannot you heed mine heart's measure?

should thee not wish
to attend to mine warmth?

would thou deny mine lips?

will thou abstain from
mine song?

but hear,
there, a sound

a noise,

footsteps coming to
me, O

perchance it shall
be thee, shall I gaze upon
thy face,

ah Moonlight, lightsome my way
till a comet hide from
darkness another

O a love, my beloved, I entreat
do not have a brother

come to me, find me here
in the dark, heed my voice

my voice! I cannot
hear my voice,
but I hear myself
call to thee…

Oh maman, O maman!
He comes!

I hear thy footsteps,
he comes ~
he must!

O Sir Knight, good Knight
I glimpse in dark shadows
a spirit's form

is't thou?

I pray, I beg you,
hear me!

hear my heart
O heart

that tender did thy
touch
touch deep…

whilst I slept…

O to know thou arms
that once bound me

O maman, I see him!
He comes…

I shall wish he gaze
and see mine soul
resting in mine
green eyes…

but it is not thy footstep
good Knight, not thine

O bitter spell, fuddles my head
thy image be
blurred, I only
spy shadows

O, thy step, so close
please see my hand
in this caliginous gloaming

I clutch thy cloak
precious Knight's raiment
of velvet cloth
so well it shields
your virtue…

unmask thy face,
sweetness
(O, he would be my
sweetest heart's love…)

let me see thy elegance

and let your resonant voice lift my soul…

Quinella lifts the shroud from
the spirit visitor's face and screams…..

Hey, I enjoyed these 4 pieces and am looking forward to the rest.  I'm glad, too, that I didn't see them till these 4 were already done as I got to cheat a little and read them all one after the other so didn't have to wait between....hee hee.  Really neat.

And thank you, too, for the link...wow...I spent 4 hours just browsing reference sources for eveything under the sun!  And still have not touched near everything there. Wonderful!!

Quinella lifts the shroud from
the spirit visitor's face and screams…..

I guess I just visited Quinella's dreams...
serpent nosed,
devil masked,
wolf fanged,
vulture beaked
death clawed...
Of course she'd be scared enough to scream...

a gleaming false tooth
a fagin dressed truth
under the garbed silhoutte
in a Prince charming's jet...

.....

I WANT MORE
I WANT MORE
I WANT MORE
...
This is fantastic, such a weave, such flow, such a charm to the poem and why not, it is coming right from sunshine...

regards Karilea...
sudhir...
P.S. seymour, don't ask for the end... please... I selfishly seek this to be a never-ending story...

Okay. Building up all that lovely suspense about her dream Knight as she falls into a deep sleep and dreams of . . . Him? Not so fast. Hold on. There's something not exactly going according to plan. Good tease. Excellent actually.
