Poetry is Happiness The sound of poetry is happiness Its words are fingertips that touch my ear Massaging it with such a sweet caress That it is soothed by every word it hears The simple verse that blows across the wind Can be a new adventure for the mind Resounding with a thought hid well within That poet’s words delve deep enough to find Some poetry is like a lightening spear It pierces the most inner secret shell Inducing sorrow’s cloud to drop a tear In reminisce of one you loved so well If any poem I write brings misery I didn’t mean to hurt. Please pardon me Elizabeth Santos |

Very beautiful, and true expression of how I feel about poetry as well. catalinamoon Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Lord Byron |

Elizabeth~ With poetic pen you write so well. All thoughts are found in your inkwell. Splashing thoughts of poetry, within the very heart of me. Love ya', lady ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Are there tuition grants and scholarships for entry into your school....I want to apply also. I went and read the rules for sonnets and welllllll......I got a lot of work ahead of me for this one. You seemed to have mastered it well. Every rule right on. The piece is so lovely and your writing sends me in swirls every time I read. You can pen sad anytime you want...or happy as well......you bring alot of emotions out in your work and it is a pleasure to share them with you. |

I would like to thank everyone for your very kind responses to this sonnet. As for Sudhir and Mark, I attend the Passions School of Poetry, and my teachers are poets like you, and the tuition is free. And you can also attend Nan's poetry classes. But as for me, I am learning a lot from both of you Thank you Liz |
