Now that the DNC is over, I can finally stop putting in outrageously long overtime hours at work. Dijya miss me?  Mike -to touch her body- These words I have carved In the rock of the mountain Near river's fallen ribbon Are for you. They speak in the language of trees and earth, Trial and birth, Hatred and mirth. These songs I have laced In the leaves of the trees In an early autumn breeze Are for you. Shadow-scattered petals like flowers dying In frosting sand Under the sun's lost care. These hands I have used To replace the aura Of everyday objects Are for you. So that poetry may live with every touch To your unwaiting, wanting, glowing body. You are a star, woman heat. Tremble. |
