This is my thank you poem for everyone at Passions |

To Everyone at Passions by Michael Auguste (This small poem can't begin to tell you all how much your comments on "He Strolls and Limps" means to me. I want to sincerely thank you and tell you how touched I feel) I posted a poem at Passions That was not my usual style It spoke of legs with failing use And the responses made me smile Such kindness I have seldom heard Such strength I drew from what they said Their comments, prayers, touched me so deep Not replies, but letters, instead It renews hope and fight in me To never fail the like of these So wonderful and kind they are And yet their kindness flows with ease But if I could make your names rhyme I'd place your names for all to see For you've such strength and character The likes of which I want in me The poem I wrote was hard to post But I wanted to offer hope To reach my hand out to take yours There is no need in life to grope Again I'll say it, "Hope is pure" And from it, strength is always born When you are knocked down, stand back up Get on with life, your past don't mourn For life is such a treasured gift Each day much brighter than before And all the years which lie ahead I'd like to think that hope will pour I'll give you hope, it's not a loan There is no need to pay me back Though money's tight, and that's the truth Of hope, there never is a lack I want to thank you all so much Your words, the best poem I have known So strong I feel as this I write A part of me I think has grown |

I feel the same way as you and I thank you for voicing your heart. I have found a very comfortable home here as many have and I have grown not only in poetry but in my life as well thanks to poets and friends such as you. |
