Taketh This Heart Doth thou not seeth me at all As an object of thine affection? When thou thinkth of me Doth thou not seeth mine heart cries for thee? Canst thou seeth these jagged lines That splitth mine heart in two? Canst thou tellth by mine painful cries This loveth I have will e'er be true? Taketh this heart I holdth in mine hand It 'tis not mine any longer, to command. If thou canst not find a way to make it thine Then letth it ne'er be returned to this breast of mine. w. james beard, jr. (...playing with some things I've picked up here...not sure it's all proper but it's close I think...jimmy) |

Jimmy, I think this was great, and I like the old style writing. catalinamoon Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Lord Byron |

Gosh...didn't realize so many liked this style of writing. As Sunshine knows I'm sure, it's really fun to write...make all kinds of mistakes...but it's still fun. Thanks for the support. jwesley [This message has been edited by jwesley (edited 08-19-2000).] |

Good sir, thou hast indeed written a poem in the language of the Knights of olde. . . for that alone, I am most greatful. . . But to writeth a poem of such grace and style. . . well. . . that just maketh it all the more superb. . . Well done. . . ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
