The man with the tan Stood, his back to a van swallowing lies and lemonade Claiming to be the last, of the bulwark brigade The girl with the curls and arms full of pearls sits in a pond playing masquerade Swearing she is the last of the bulwark brigade The boy with the band who walks in the sand marching in a parade so grand Proclaims "I am the last of the bulwark brigade" The gran with the plan whos knees turned to spam will sit in the sun singing for fun "Meet the last of the bulwark brigade" So the man with the tan (driving the van) with the boy in the back (next to his band) Was the girl with the curls (carrying her pearls) consulting the gran with the plan while they all sang "We are the last of the bulwark brigade" Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the roses falling 'Tis |
