No ~Strings~ Attached Have no idea why I chose the above Just heard it, liked it and so Thought it would make an interesting name But for a poem, about what, I don't know. The last few days, rough, by all accounts And I haven't handled them well. Been moody and tense, tearful and a crab Cancer is my sign, must tell. So decided this evening, to just settle back, Bathe in bubbles, pleasant thoughts and dreams. Then closed my eyes, felt the mind's eye touch ~~Sighing, so real it all seems. I heard your ~whisper in the heated air Felt your breath upon my skin. Could sense the nearness of your face As your ~smile~ just brushed my chin. When your lips had sought to comfort mine As they warmed and gently pressed. The thrill that sent me spiraling then Was "desire", I must confess. It's You, I look for in my dreams Both day and night time, too. My thoughts, my moves, my words, my breath Are controlled, by what you do. No strings attached, is appropriate now It fits here, like a glove. For always, in these mind's eye dreams What is real, is not real love. But warmth and just a little touch Of calm and peace it brings To have these feelings of needing you And of words you sometimes sing. So very ~~softly smiling now Am I, when holding thoughts Of you, and all you mean to me In my heart, where you are caught. M |
