Hope in my closet Shadows deep inside grow tall, Lengthening in waning twilight, Lively colours on outside walls Fade with the darkening night. Evening starts to disappear, Hiding in a starlit blanket, Visions begin to reappear, Emerging from their closet. They'd come to pay me a visit As they'd done yesterday too, Sometimes blurred as a deceit, Sometimes sharp - as if true. It's all inside my head, I know ~ Haunting memoirs of yesterdays, They're here, nowhere else to go, Yet hope's alive for coming days. I know that we're all dreamers And some of them do come true, Some dream of golden shimmers, While others of lovely views. Yes, I know we're all dreamers, And I admit dreams visit me too. Hope in my closet is but the glimmer I will hold on to, all life through. ~ |

Sudhir If I was to pick out my favourite parts then I would be pasting the whole poem, it is like you looked inside my head. This poem is so true for me, the shadows falling all around but that burning light of hope that keeps them at bay. Sudhir, you can guess that I really enjoyed this poem. Excellent as always. "Beyond all this good is the terror,The grip of a mercenary hand,When savagery turns all good reason, There's no turning back, no last stand,"I.Curtis |

Nice Sudhir... hope... does it really exist though? Or is it just a hope that hope exists? |
