When first we met
There I was smiling at you
and you at me.

I begin to wish I knew you more
but I could see you had to go.
So off I went to my class
I did not even make a pass.

Today I passed you in the hall
I seen you look at me
I looked at you
And I just knew you were meant for me
And I for you.

Palms of sweat
and eyes of tears
anxieties were met
easing of our fears

You stopped and ask me
if I would like to go to lunch
and then and there I paused
and said of course
All my fears were laid aside
I wandered why I was so nervous all inside
Then I Realized it was because I really really
liked you.

Palms of sweat and eyes of tears
anxieties were met easing of our fears
but with this has to be a beginning
only if it's for lunch.

Now three week later
I'm glad we met.

I too can remember HS - and my single years - through my 20's and later between marriages - I can tell you the nervousness and the conviction remain and sometimes the sweaty hands can persist - well into middle age.

beautiful expression RB

Rb, I liked this one there was a sense of adolescent apprehension in it. Well done.
Be well
