I Will Shed You Feathers They say those that have crossed over leave a little way to give a keepsake of themselves each and every day to those that will really listen, suffer, feel and hear hearken closely to my plan and what I shall do, my dear… I shall shed feathers for you daily, singly, one by one in the darkness of the night to be seen in daylight's sun I shall leave them all around, and when you're very blue you shall see there lies a feather and know I've thought of you. I shall loose for you a feather, and recollect will spark when you pick up chestnut feathers of the lovely lark hear then there the trills and notes of its favored song and not miss me for a moment, but instead please sing along. I shall shower down a feather, before your feet shall lay a reminder that I was here to start your every day angels all around me, shall share their feathers free just so that you might know that you are here with me. So when you see a feather lightly settle down by you validate my love dear, and know that here's a clue I stroll beside you daily, I am still with you at night now think of these shed feathers, let them be a guiding light. ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 15 August 2000 |
