Kiss Me Not Alone

When your breath washes over me
And covers me in kiss,
I tremble at the want I feel,
The overwhelming bliss.

It takes me by surprising feel
And fills my empty heart,
When breathing in through every pore
The heat of fires start.

When you touch me in that special way
You know, with tender view,
Inside I melt, the winter's gone
I've springtime thoughts of you.

Of planting seeds into your mind
Each morning damp with dew,
To grow and bloom, to bear their fruit
Of want, desire, anew.

When singing songs to me, your voice
Sweet sounds, I often hear,
Of bluebirds, larks and little wrens
Then flirting thoughts appear.

I flutter like their wings in air
My heart, it pulses strong,
Waiting just to feel the trace
Of kisses all night long.

When your eyes look into mine
And mirror what they see,
Listen to the stillness felt,
The glow released in me.

Serenade desires held
Untold, their hushed voice tone,
Touch me with the breath of you
And kiss me not alone.

Maureen, that is so great. I think it's so tender and beautiful. Perfect! Well written, and beautifully expressed.

Hi Maureen,
This is beautiful and has touched me. I am printing it out, and will try to put this gem to music. May take awhile, but I will try. Wow, how touching!
