Æ, Ð and Þ |

Why did english discard the letters Æ (ash), Ð (eth), & Þ (thorn)? If we use Þ or Ð instead of "Th" it would use up less computer byte, less ink, less hand writing time, space and energy--it all adds up! And we'd have choice of either of the two letters, instead of just one couple. I think Æ speaks for itself--it has an uprightness and statliness about it that adds nice complement. That's because the teachers teach grammar with words and phrases that are too long for decent understanding. How can anyone remember what hyper superordinating conductive interconjunctitional acrobatic articles are? Or subjunctive hypocoordinading predicating prepositional compound moods of words are?
