What is this thing called Love that Poets write so often about? I have written a few things that certainly are important, and I invite each of you to add to this poem and define this "thing" called LOVE. Love is mystery with souls willing to discover Love is romance seeking acceptance of each other Love is trusting two hearts willing to share Love is magic sometimes dreams are waiting there Love is touching all the places within the heart Love is passion burning desires eager to start Love is loyalty a devotion for eternity Love is whispers sweet promises of ecstacy Love is infinite soulmates always being there Love is endless if fate is playing fare Love is...... |

love is Saturday morning cartoons with her head on your lap, no make up, no words but laughter, and no thought but being together. |

Love is giving all of you and asking for nothing in return. Love is kissing your child`s owie and making everything all better. Love is being able to say your sorry even when you know your not at fault. Love is something that everyone here seem`s to have for one another. I could go on and on and on and on..lol Nice read Danny |

Love is Patient, Love is Kind. Love is giving, All that's mine. Love is gentle, Love is pure. Love is something, That is pure. Love is not selfish, Or quick to hate. Love is endless, There's no debate. Love is taking, What's not your due. Love is not what, Can be done for you. Love is giving, From all you've got. The special things, That mean a lot. Love is strength, To see it through. In all you want, And all you do. |

Love is knowing when to give in to the other person because you realize life is just too short to argue Love is letting go, because you truly believe in it, and know that if its meant to be it will come back Love is realizing that you don't control the other person nor they you...yet you walk together thru this discovery of life Love is the union of two souls that would be lost without the other. Love is acceptance, trust, understanding and complete honesty. Love is not worrying about what the other person thinks because you realize that the outside appearance isnt what really counts. AMY ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

Love is when the toast is burnt, the washer is broken, the toilet is stopped up, the dog is howling, you're crying your eyes out over it all....and your baby toddles over, pats your cheek softly, and says, "Luv woo, Momma..." Bobbycat =^..^= |

Love is that intangible missing piece that one day leaves us feeling content and complete. |

Love is bleary morning eyes that sees beauty in mussed hair. That smells roses on dragon's breath. That doesn't mind the smeared mascara that didn't all come off the night before. That sees the inner spirit, not the outer thighs. Love is the heart that can know all of your faults and love you anyway. Love is my husband. On Valentine's Day I was asked who was considered the world's greatest lover. I replied "My husband" Poetry~ Words falling on paper, painting a dream. Shawna R. Holder Boise, Idaho |

Love is beauty beyond the eye, Cirrus clouds afloat on the sky. A rainbow on your darkest day, A touch that tells you, "it's o.k." Invisible arms that keep you warm, That hold you tight amidst life's storm. A smile by the grace of dawn, The sweetest vision ever drawn. A fluttering heart, an gentle hand, A soul you know and understand. A wisp of dream, a priceless worth, Love is, purely, Heaven on Earth. Michael |

Love is what we cannot see, when what's not present speaks to me. Love is doing without a desire to recieve in return a gracious choir. Love is chidren before our constraints, sharing the soul with no complaints. Love is neither here nor there, yet love is the reason we are here! I rarely repond to responses but in this case and because there are so many wonderful poems written on the topic of Love, I wanted to say thanks to all who responded with such beautiful poetry and all of your poetry deserves to be read, if sending this back to the top accomplishes that, all the better. Thanks poets! Danny [This message has been edited by Danny Holloway (edited 02-28-2000).] |
