The time of conceive If all the world is just a stage And all my life is just a page. Then I would shine this page with light And burn a candle in the night. Against the dark of oppression, Open my heart to confession. Light a path to freedoms cause, Make my love a permanent pause. I'd give and take what is my due. Not reach the heights upon a few. I'd try my very level best, To be a pure and proper guest. I'd offer all that came my way, A proper ear and place to stay. And when your honor sews the deed There seems to be no other need. There is nought else but to believe. If human trust is to conceive. |
