this isn't a very nice poem, but some things just need to be excorcised... Dirty Laundry How much washing will it take to cleanse me from your stink? The filth you left permeates, taking nausea to the brink. I try to brighten, whiten it all with ammonia and bleach, I boxed it and shipped it, but it’s still within my reach. I hauled it to the cleaners to see what they could do, but they say it won’t come out, until I’m rid of you. So on your bike, off you go crawl back beneath your rock, that’s really where you belong and take your friggin’ socks! © 2000 Corinne Bailey |

LOL - Parker, you crack me up! It's just a saying an old friend from the U.K. used to use...I don't have a British background (been to England, though, does that count? Cheshire grin! Corinne p.s. it is raining like crazy here today... |

Corinne Maria, what background do you have my dear...... digging. It's a balmy 10 degrees celsius here, which is kind of nice compared to what we have had. Is it a warm rain, well after you get rid of them their socks, I'd take a walk with you in it. Parker |

Corinne: Having a British background I thought it was a perfect way of stating the obvious; well let's at least say polite . A very well written poem and believe me I can relate. Marina |

Twas delightful! I'm still chuckling! I especially love the last line... lol. This reminds me of several past relationships where I've sent em packing...(I made them take their socks, too! lol) Vreni |
