God has a way of making all things right
so when I write this poem, I have you in sight.
I need to spend no time on these words
easily they come, just feelings unheard.
He guided to me you when I needed a friend
no judgement, no feelings that I had to pretend.
You talk, you listen, you love me for me
never the hesitation when he called you to see.
I share with you part of my soul
my feelings and fears you seem to uphold.
You caress my heart with love and grace
true friendship unfolding in the presence of your face.
When I am confused or overwelmed
you give me yourself, never letting me down.
I find it hard to say the feelings that I feel
today I want you to know this love I feel is real.
You brighten my day with your words, your smile I can't erase
your thoughts, your style, your grace.
I need you to know that my friendship is true
my heart, my love, in every thought of you.
