As the sun slowly rose this morning I saw a blanket of untouched white And knew there was something I wanted to do Though I should probably wait until night. Still I put on my warmest jacket and gloves Found my big socks and one boot - While looking for the other I knew This was going to be be a hoot. What would the neighbors say when they saw This old kid, walking quite slow Getting ready to take a bitter cold dive To make angels in the snow. Never did hear what they thought of it But I'm sure it gave them a start I just hope they laughed for a bit For it sure did lighten my heart. BSC- I like this. I'm still a kid at play ... flying kites, rollerskating, making mudpies in the rain, and puddle-jumping. When the kid in me comes out to play I care not what the neighbors say. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

BSC, sounds like my grandpa! I wish he still had enough strength to get out and do that. This is a very fun and light hearted poem! -SEA |

LOL this was great and uplifting! I did just that a few weeks ago! I bet my neighbors thought I was nuts, but hey, who cares! I had to throw adulthood out the window for a few moments, and I had fun doing it! Makes ya smile. And so does this poem!< !signature--> <*\\\>< When you can't make up your mind Which way is right for you, Stop and softly ask yourself, What Would Jesus Do? Wonderful poem about a fun type of thing to do, I bet you warmed your neighbors hearts with those snow angels, I know it would have warmed mine seeing them. |
