The sickest aspect of humanity, searching, always searching, for the worst parts, the most painful ordeals. Scratching, Scrabbling at the papers for the sickest stories, Fast-forwarding cd's for the most harrowing bass lines, the most violent screaming. Looking out for the suicides, the hospitalisations. Why? Why is it always the pain that gratifies us the most? If we ever stopped to think, (God forbid that we should ever think), if we heard ourselves, we'd hate ourselves but we are deaf, blind, dumb to ourselves, to our callousness, to our human nature. I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I se it. |
