The Emerald Sea

Along silvering shores
of far emerald sea
waves fluid and flawless
spray their jewels upon thee
In the heart's silent stirrings
I will breathe, and fly free
o'er the sorrows of
night's fallen reaches

Could there be such a place
as that emerald sea?
where the nightmuse can linger
in love, languidly
As the soul of another
holds her heart tenderly
and to dusk's shared
horizon beseeches

Now as golden stroked skies
draw her gaze upwardly
she queries the night
with this questioning plea
Is there more than this fragrance
and fond memory
to our sea's sweeping
emerald beaches?

Wow, what imagery Meadowmuse!  You continue to be near the top of my list of favorite poets.  This one, just like so many others, struck me with it's stunning beauty. You have marvelous talent. < !signature-->

Just wonderful.  Can't say much more about it than that.  There just aren't enough words to describe.
