She sits in the midst of a field budding green grass as far as the eye can see a minature emerald forest idly tickling the bottom of her soles... Her eyes fill with familiar tears blurring the progress of aimless clouds as they glide gracefully across the sky with simplistic freedom fluffy cocoons unknowing of their destination... Flowers with colorful crowns sway in the gentle breeze bowing to kiss the salt from her stained cheek their petals smiling happily at the sun... The beauty of the vision before her leaves her breathless and haunted by memories shared disturbing in their freshness yet delicious in their torment She wants desperately to believe in this illusion in him... Yet truth prevails with Fates devastating hand exposing the distortions within her fragile illusion The liar is seen his deceptive mask falling from her eyes Oceans of jutting green blades yellow shriveling in upon themselves in a slow death to become dust upon winters first touch... Clouds once embraced by the sky lie victim to the deceptions harsh kiss fragile shells faltering breaking apart their desperate tears falling lost upon the earth forgotten... Delicate flowered heads once vivacious drawn helplessly to the ground to die upon the grass unforgettable performance now done brilliance exhausted silken petals browning color disintegrating beneath her fingers... blending with the whispers of her broken heart... Freedom of expression is the watch word... |

Breathe~ I can't believe that no one has responded to this yet. This is so beautiful and so very sad. But hey! Spring is around the corner and your flowers will bloom in your heart again. -SEA |

Well my excuse could be I just logged on But I read this poem for some time and twice to make sure it's not an illusion Plainly enchanting, and so nice Thank you, it's like a fresh Brezze going through my mind The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Breathe~ written with such description and elloquent wording. This poem "breaths" of such strong emotion. I really liked the change of season with the "discoverance" of the deception. So visually real in your wording. Keep up the great expression! |

I've been captured by your use of the language in this. Such descriptions, such imagery. I love you. Thanks for a splendid read. Chris |
