     Where do lonely hearts go
when love is in the past?
          with emptiness everywhere
            only hours of despair
             does anyone really care
              when fragrance leaves the air
               now frozen to this chair
                life lost its recent flair
venture out I do not dare
                  broken heart beyond repair
full meal is now so rare
nary an emotion left to spare
                for work I can't prepare
               of you I mostly swear
             wrinkled clothes I only wear
my soul no longer to bare
           no future now can compare
nothing left for me to share
come the nights with a scare
    Where do lonely hearts go,
    when true love doesn't last?

        Someone take me there.........

Very interesting question Danny. I wish I knew the answer to it myself. I believe they are left to wander until they find their true home, arms that will hold forever more. Either that or I am full of it...lol. We may be destined to wander alone, finding peace in ourselves. We will never know the answer to this question until we find our home, then it is unimportant, no?

I wish I knew where broken hearts should go
after love has left them nothing to follow

  a place of comforting
   full of heart resurecting
    making broken pieces sing
     healing the hurtful everything
      a place for wounded consoling
     making fragile hearts ring
    vacant of trust in pretending
   full of gentle mending
  a place of rebirthing

I wish I knew where broken hearts should go
after love has left them hollow.

Where do lonely hearts go,
I think they follow me around.
So lets all go for a beer, and
forget where lonley hearts go.

Great poem.

They all go to the Lonley Heart's Club, don't you know, it's at the corner of Love Everlasting and I Found Someone New, right next to the Heart Break Hotel.

I liked your poem.

Lucy's In!

Where do broken hearts go... back togeather

I believe broken hearts go to pieces, tiny shards, then the mind takes each one of the tiny shards and absorbs its every aspect when the mind has what it can put of the puzzle together it gives us a lesson, some learn from it, others improve with it, and some choose to store only its good in their dreams, but only when we can think of a past broken heart with a smile has the puzzle been completed and we have all these things to treasure and what once hurt us so much has given so much more, including a new and stronger heart

Five cents please....lol

A wonderful poem you've written.....

Now Danny... You can't run around in wrinkled clothes. You'll stay lonely forever. Get the iron out, turn up the heat and tell us what you really want.

I like the way this is written...the curve and all.   Good job!!

Danny~ I have only to echo Tori. She read my mind. Or we think alike! This is really sad Danny, I hope you can put the pieces back together or find a stronger way to build your heart. Hugs-SEA

Greetings to all who posted responses to my poem.  This is the most responses I have received on Passions and it must mean my writing is getting better.
Thanks to all, and especially to Marge, who is such a sweet person, and a friend to all who post their poetry in these halls of creative writing.
Sincerely,
Danny
