A line or two I read to you; do you hear the life flow through? Are these mere words - or do they live; do you feel the life they give? Do your heart and soul cry out; as words unfold and share life's plight. Very very good Dee. I love to read and hear poetry about why and how we write poetry. This poem to me symbolizes a part of the very essence behind why I write. "Do you hear the life flow through?" I have to ask myself that upon finishing any particular piece. And if the answer is no...it's back to the keyboard to write and re-write some more. Thanks for sharing. Chris. |
