I liked this one so much I had to repost it...I hope no one minds! To My Valentine Once upon A time There was Truth to the Myth of what You And I Had found In a blank paged Fairy tale. Snow white Doesn't sleep In a casket made of Glass Slippers will break If you wear them. Walk across this Written word With fingers Gently Seeking Loving You And me No more. He loves Me He loves me! Not… Enough. To: My Valentine Will you Be mine No longer… ~ Angela Erin Burke ~ < !signature--> "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot [This message has been edited by Saxoness (edited 02-14-2000).] |

Saxoness- I caught it in Holiday ... loved it then ... love it now. This is wonderful ... 'Snow white Doesn't sleep In a casket made of Glass Slippers will break If you wear them.' ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Saxon Lady I personally think this is a great poem. I like the way it set me up for another (typical) "Be Mine, Valentine" poem, and then dropped the other shoe right in the middle of it all. Its too bad the candy company that makes those little candy message hearts couldn't use this poem for those naughty naughty children who need to get blown out of the water periodically - lol. Naturally, I do NOT in the least show even a hint of favoritism for my fave teen poet of all time. Not one little bit. Nope. |

I didn't catch this in Holiday, so I'm glad I did here. A broken slipper fairy tale, to your valentine. Enjoyed much. Joy |

Joy, thank you! I think the miracle would be me writing a Valentines poem that WASN'T sad. "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |
