My Forbidden and Secret Love

You know I'll always trust you
I know you'll take good care
Its not 'cause of you that I worry
But the other idiots out there.

I know that now you're taken
And I know that you'll never be mine
But please don't leave me on my own
For any length of time.

Each time you enter into my life
I smile my secret smile
And the flame in my heart burns brighter
Just being with you for a while.

But when you leave me on my own
I shed my secret tear
For although I know that I shouldn't
I like to hold you near.

And as I try and close this chapter,
I must accept that it'll never be
And wish you all the happiness
Just you, and her, not me.

This is amazing, I wish I could write this well, you have a great way with words, I like this loads, and we all have those forbiden loves, the ones we can't have, shouldn't want but still do, this links in quite nicely with the idea of temptation and my poem 'Heaven or Hell', fancy doing a joint effort some time ?
