Little bird Be Free Fly little bird, up into the sky Fly so high, free bye and bye I watch you soar then flit about "Free at last" I want to shout No longer caged, you've been set free you're now out there for all to see So fly little bird, fly and be free No longer are you in captivity Free to go wherever the wind blows To set you free is what I chose ~Fly Little bird~ |

I find a strange peace about me in reading this and yet a sadness too. Good little poem, likes me much. Michael |

Tracie~ This just HAD to be for me. I just lost my African Gray to the freedom of the 'back to nature' life. She never lived in a cage, but then she didn't exactly fly free either. Boo~ Hoo~ But I like to think that she now talks to all of the other birds who never knew a voice. Imagine ... they sing ... she talks. I'm sad about her loss and do hope she finds her way back home, but if she doesn't ... then I like to think that she now flies freely with the breeze. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Michael as I was writing this I felt like you said a strange peace about me as well, and yet some sadness also. I'm glad you liked it, thanks for your reply Silvershaddow thanks for reading and replying I appreciate it. OH Marge I'm so sorry, I'm sure she is soaring around out there looking down on the world thinking how lucky she is...HUGS Tracie |
