If I should leave before my time
remember me this way
and know that Winter's colors
touched me more than I can say

I've gazed upon a coastline
that brought joy beyond compare
and if you stand upon these cliffs
I know you'll find me there

I keep your laughter in my heart
for all eternity
it was and always will remain
a symphony to me

Perhaps at times it seemed to you
I walked with weary trod
but I have seen your smile and thus
looked in the eyes of God

 I'm not waving, I'm drowning!

Oh, this is an exquisite poem!  Lovely and haunting and much, much too sad!  The last two verses touched me very deeply.  I'm going to keep this one in my file of treasures.

Melanie, the last thing I heard was you were 'leaving on a jetplane' to make your dream come true and never found out if you did.
