Cruel twist of fate

Nobody loves me.
Yes this is exactly how I feel.
My life is filled with loneliness.
I'd prefer a life that's real.
If I could trust a little more
could I lose these doubtful feelings I feel?
Everything in my life seems wrong.
I must be stuck in a place I don't belong.
It seems as if my loneliness has found
a willing resting place
and I know I must loosen up its sad grip
if I really want to change my fate.
Do I want to change this cruel twist of fate?
Yes I do I can hardly wait.
Cause now its becoming clear to me
that no one wants to be around
a broken hearted loser who's heart
and soul are out of town.
And if I truly want to live
I must prepare every part of my heart to give.
Only then will this cruel twist of fate turn around
and allow me to embrace the new love I've found.

These words really hit home with me, it is a very familiar place of which you speak. As with most things the changes must start from within, once that is realised the path becomes clear and much easier to travel.

Taking a look inside your heart can be really helpful sometimes. We all need to step back and concentrate on loving ourselves before we can truly show emotion towards others.

DONT make me walk all the way to the Islands just to HUG you(smile)
and DONT let me hear you call your self a
loser again either!!!
I understand what your saying here...
but be nicer to your self!! and im glad you turned this around to look for the positive...Ya know what they say James...
everyone loves a lover...
take care, jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

James, I think at this point, we are two of a kind!  I feel pretty much the same way right now.  Nothing seems to be working out in my life right now.  Partically relationships.  So I'll make you a deal....you stay strong and so will I.  There has to be something better out there for us.

James, this is a lovely sad poem.
Fate is what you make it, and it seems
you are coming out of your lonely self
made web --
Loser -- what an awful thing to feel.

When I am depressed, I stop badgering myself
and think of all the things that I have
been blessed.

Would not life be boring if we never had
to feel pain, or sorrow, and each day was
like the day before -- with nothing to
dwell on and nothing exciting?

Take care -- good luck with your new love.
And, keep writing - it is good for the soul.

Thank you Eagle One, Jeffrey, Lone Wolf, Janet, Marina, and netswan for reading and responding.  Janet I guess even a loser gets tired of losing and  decides he must move on to greener pastures...Marina I actually felt these exact feelings just a short time ago but I am working past this and I am trying to embrace my new feelings and desires.  I am preparing my heart.  I am trying to regain my trust.  I was having lunch with Lena yesterday and I told her I didn't trust her..but I told her that she was perfect..it was not her specifically that I don't trust..it is everyone that I don't trust...an issue I need to work out so I can trust again..and believe me I want to trust lovely Lena.   James
