I went fishing for some bass,
Slipped and fell upon my grass
Carp ate my bait instead,
Perched atop a catfish head'
ed out beyond my reach,
So I swore, son of a beach
was muddy, flailed about,
As I floundered, lost my trout-
line now I'm poleless, it's too late,
Without my pole, can't cast or bait.

And the sad fact is I wrote this on porpoise.

How can I be depressed as long as you guys keep writing poems like this.  Thanks Fisherman... one last laugh before I go to bed.. perfect.

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

You know what??? I really love this... It's nice to have someone around to go out and catch dinner.... This old fisherman really isn't "Old Jim"... He just can't spell.... or is he under a spell???... He suits you to a "T" though...

ROFL - Now that's funny.  I like to fish once in awhile but I never bait the hook - that way the fish don't bother me...
