The dance begins. . .

Under subtle shades of Venus violet and moonlight
I take your hand and hold you near
Holding your body close to my own
                        I could dance all night
It's easy with one whose heart I hold so dear

The song begins, shimmering in aural luminescence
Flowing from the pen of the terpsichorean muse
I am the most fortunate man alive
to share with you this presence
As we paint our picture of passion, filled with many hues

We move together as though we are one
Across the wooden floor like we are gliding on air
The emotions that I feel when I'm with you
                        are brighter than the sun
We continue to move on the floor, dancing without a care

The notes begin to evaporate into the slience of the room
But we continue to dance to a music not yet heard
And as moon after moon and dawn after dawn
come every day always far too soon
We will always dance to the music of love and discover feelings not yet stirred

The dance never ends. . .

Sven~
Absolute BEAUTY !

'Flowing from the pen of
the terpsichorean muse'

Oh, my goodness ...
is that ever a lovely phrase.
I can just see your muse dancing
in your head ... wonderful !

I see you haven't lost your romantic touch either!  You are just oozing with romance of late sir!  LOL  Shall I get a towel and wipe you down?  Er...never mind, you might take that wrong!  I know how you are!  hehehe  I'll have Marina wipe you off!
Seriously though, this is wonderful stuff here...paints beautiful pictures in my head of lovers dancing.

BANG!!!  oh...sorry...I think I just fell one the dance floor.  I was overwhelmed ( Marina fanning her face with her fan )  I got caught up in the moment.  How truly romantic dancing can be.  Especially from such a wonderful romantic poet.

jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

Excellent, Sven.  Brings to mind beautiful images. I'll bet your dance card is already full....too bad.  I would have liked to try this sometime.  Nice writing.

Isn't this how love is supposed to be?
I'm looking back over old work and realizing how much I missed by so many people by not participating as much then as I do now. I'm honored to have come across this.

Enjoyed, Sweet Sir.

I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement.
