` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `Such a vast eternal journey ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `over lichened rocks that slip ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `where slimy algae grows. ` ` In paths of flooding mountains, ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` leaping icy waters’ trip ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `from sky-lined alpine snows; ` ` ` glide ‘cross rocky water paths, ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` down sloping sided tossing; ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` wild, chaotic, turbulent ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `for all the vivid seasons. ` ` ` It seems too formidable e’en to ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` attempt a stalwart crossing, ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `from aching winters spent; ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `in these nights of darkest reasons. ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` Yet the empire of tears remains a cold ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` and solitary land. Step by faltering step ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `ventures my slow and careful stand. You know you wouldn't be sliping if the kids did their jobs right and didn't leave so much slippery water on the floor. I went to the bathroom this other morning around four, 'bout broke my neck sliding on wet soapy floor, almost forgot what I was doing there or going for. Has that ever happened to you..? |

I know how it goes, taking one step at a time, trying to move to a better place in life without all the pain. Precarious rocks, aren't they? Nice poem. |
