I DIDN'T write this poem.. the girl I am in love with did.. she is a much better poet then I am.. she writes them all the time of all different kinds... This is one of my favorite Bring me my shelter take away my pain That's what it does to me when I hear your name You are my savior you are my truth And all I want to do is be with you You think its' so hard when there's no one around I know it's so hard when your losing ground I feel like an angel passing you by I want you to be there whenever I cry I wish I could hold you I wish for nothing else When I look into your eyes my heart melts I could stare into the sun and not go blind I could still be happy next to you during my last time It doesn't' take much to make some one smile It doesn't' take much just to stand with me for awhile I need you… Here and now I am not far gone Sitting and watching you get drunk on the lawn Watching the car smash and feeling the pain Screaming in terror I call out your name A fluke on my part you're standing near by In great relief I can sigh Whenever you're near the light's flicker still Watching you makes me happy, writing a bill I'm trying so hard to be what you want me to be Maybe it's time I just try and be me I could stare into the sun and not go blind I could still be happy next to you during my last time It doesn't' take much to make some one smile It doesn't' take much just to stand with me for awhile I need you… Running out time that travel so fast help me I'm falling out of your grasp where are you now when I need you the most I know you care but it's help to show I need you here by my side I need you I'm dying inside this aching body filled with pain just stand next to me just say my name say that you love me say that you care I need you I need you here… Happy in my last times Doesn't' make much sense Just be kind make me smile but only for awhile I need you… |

WOW this is gorgeous... incredible devotion and emotion expressed in this and its so very well written. tell your poetic angel I said superb work! take care, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind...
