He kept his Faith where all could see ~~~ The chapel bell was heard today a tear filled day to see The bell is rung to greet a soul and again to set it free ~ This tiny village lost a son a brother dad and friend Three days they lined a country mile to help receivers mend ~ They pull together in times of grief they pitch in side by side This tiny village of friends in truth many thousand miles wide ~ The hearts he touched around the world near spanned the globe you see The tears of sorrow were mystified with pride and revelry ~~~ |

This is very touching and beautifully written, Rex! Very nice! I must admit, I was looking for a punch line but your serious poems are great too! Denise |

Thanks everyone ... My internet contract will be coming due in a month or so and I don't think I'm going to renew it ... been surfing too long and need a break from it ...reality needs a chance to register with family life ... just wanted to dust off some things I've written to show that I have more than a sense of humour ... this one was written for my father in law ... an amazing man ... missed by many Rex}>{{{{o> |
