        The little things

Stop and see the humor of things.
Smell the air and perfume it brings.
Perhaps a smile, chuckle or two.
To cheer your day as laughs may do.

Just think upon a sunny day.
The birds and bees are all at play.
The grass is green the sky is blue.
Your girl is pressing close to you.

You walk along your mind in song.
The drifting scents of flowers strong.
When suddenly the scene has quit,
You never knew you stepped in it.

Smiling!

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Once again it's nice to have laughter among all the serious poems.

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

how many times have I told you--
dont track up my floor!!
I bet Ive told you this now...
a 1000 times or more.
when will you ever learn
Sy how do I get thru to you??
take off those damn shoes...
when you step in doggie doo.

thanks for the smile Sy...
love your wit

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

You had me singing a tune and then you through in that last line, so I just took it out of my head and cept on singing.

Very wonderful,

Clever clever Seymour
his poems are to die for
with loverly images and fragrant rhyming
then he throws out that zinger ~ what smelly timing!

Loved it, Seymour.

Sy, since you asked, my "smile" fills my face, but my "grin" has some devilment behind the eyes....LOL!

To all the wonderful people above, you are my delight. I thought about the mischief of this poem and it made me write the other one.
I do hope you enjoyed them both. Sy
